Trento gets special mention at Italy’s Urban Award

The jury of Italy's sixth edition of the Urban Award has given the 'special mention' for technological innovation to the Municipality of Trento for all the initiatives it is carrying out in the field of sustainable mobility

The Urban Award is an annual event organised by the National Association of Italian Municipalities (ANCInci) and Viagginbici.com to to reward the most advanced cities in the field of sustainable mobility.

Among the actions implemented by Trento was the Smart City Control Room developed within the STARDUST project. This room ensures the acquisition and management of mobility data (e.g. access to limited traffic zones, bicycle and scooter sharing, loading/unloading parking occupancy, disabled people, paid parking spaces, parking facilities) in order to support the municipality’s decision-making process.
